Best American Short Stories 2015, edited by T. However you did it, you did it—you wrote and revised (and further revised) a short story. New Legends wasn’t ground-breaking in the way both Dangerous Visions and Mirrorshades were, but it’s just a damned good anthology with stories from its contributors that are some of the finest these authors ever have written. By the end of the story, you absolutely feel for Sly, who is one of those tragic characters who can't escape his circumstances, but he's smart enough to understand his situation.
